Easter 2026
An Easter message of peace and hope from Rev Tongayi Matamba
Easter 2026 presents a unique opportunity for reflection and renewal. Falling early in April, this season invites us to pause and consider themes of hope, rebirth, and community. With the arrival of spring, nature itself mirrors the message of Easter—fresh beginnings, growth, and the promise of brighter days ahead.
For many, Easter is not only a religious observance but also a time to reconnect with family and friends. After years marked by uncertainty and change, the traditions of sharing meals, attending services, and participating in egg hunts feel especially meaningful. It’s a reminder that even after long winters — literal or metaphorical — joy and togetherness can flourish once more.
Easter 2026 encourages us to reflect on our own journeys. Just as the holiday commemorates overcoming hardship and embracing new life, we are called to let go of the burdens of the past and step forward with renewed purpose and optimism. Whether celebrated in quiet contemplation or with lively gatherings, this Easter is a welcome chance to cherish what we have and look forward with hope.
Christ is risen in the midst of various other worldly challenges. There is no peace in other parts of the world. Innocent people are affected. It is my hope that we all find hope in the resurrection this year.
